Our Team
At Intentional Therapy PLLC, we specialize in providing culturally-attuned, non-traditional therapy for BIPOC individuals, particularly those from South and East Asian backgrounds. Founded in March 2021 by Parthi B. Patel, a first-generation South Asian American, our practice understands the unique challenges faced by first- and second-generation individuals, such as bi-cultural identity struggles and intergenerational trauma.
We’ve created a space where you don’t have to explain your culture—our therapists ‘just get it,’ because we’ve lived it.
We have since expanded our practice to include other mental health professionals. Each of our therapists has unique areas of specialization and expertise, allowing us to collaborate and provide a range of care to individuals, couples, families, and organizations.”
Our Approach
Intentional Therapy specializes in providing ‘non-traditional therapy’— developed to address the unique family dynamics and cultural challenges within BIPOC communities.
Our ‘non-traditional therapy’ approach is tailored to meet the specific needs of BIPOC communities.
Traditional therapy methods often fall short of addressing the family dynamics and cultural complexities many of us face. That’s why we use real-life, practical coping skills that fit your life and family structure.
Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, or navigating your identity, we create realistic solutions that align with your world, not generic techniques that don’t resonate.
